Completing A Project Online Is Easy!
We are often asked, "How exactly does this work?"
so here is what you need to know. Step one is to define what the outline of the song should be. Things such as
genre, instrumentation, time signature, tempo, key, and section layout of verses. choruses. bridges, solos. Then
it is good to create a rough demo, even if only one instrument and vocals, which will help convey the general "gist"
of a song to the other artists on the project. Next is to select the people who will contribute the various instrumental
and vocal parts on the project and making any necessary arangements prior to beginning. During this time it is
good to do thing such as:
- Get full contact information for each person involved
and discuss terms and any payments expected.
- Designate user accounts for file sharing access
and provide information to where finished tracks will be uploaded and the file formats that will be needed for
mixing.
- Set a time frame schedule for project completion
- Determine the order parts will be added to the
compilation
Once these things have been done, your ready to
create!
IMM acts as the project producer to oversee the entire process and make sure things are running smoothly. Once
the initial parts are completed, we will collect the files from the web server and prepare a rough mixdown for
you to review and then upload them back to your work area. This wil help you and contributors along the way so
that you can hear your progress and determine what modifications need to be made. After the initial recordings
are completed, we will then begin the final mixdown for the completion of your project. It really is that simple
and is actually a lot of fun too!
Contact
us and we will be happy to provide
you with more information on this great way to create music!
